With great pleasure this month, I’d like to mention a new one-stop bridal-shop which has opened in Oxfordshire.  Witney Weddings & Events can be found in Waterloo Walk, on Witney High Street and alongside a certain Oxfordshire Wedding DJ, you can find details and chat to all sorts of suppliers from Makeup and Hair stylists, to Wedding Cake makers.

It’s really refreshing these days, with the amount of shopping that takes place online, to see a proper shopfront with staff dedicated to helping Brides & Grooms find the absolute best suppliers for their weddings.  Regular sessions are being planned for suppliers to be present in the shop to allow you to meet them face-to-face and discuss your requirements.  These suppliers may also have samples available (like the wonderful wedding cake that we all tried at the opening event – Mmmm!).  Also, some suppliers have special offers available that they aren’t publishing online so it’s well worth a look.

As I walked in on opening day, my eye was immediately drawn to a video-guestbook booth, where wedding guests can record short video clips for the newlyweds.  After the event, the individual videos are downloaded from the booth and edited into a fantastic show that really allows the emotion of the day to be captured.  I’ve not seen a system like this at any of my wedding discos, so even I found some new things to consider while I was in there.

As a wedding specialist entertainment supplier, I always like to meet my clients before they make a booking, to make sure I meet their requirements and standards.  We often meet in coffee shops, or at the wedding venue but now there’s another option – and one where you might find much more than you thought.
